Review

A quirky alternative to staying in Puerto Iguazu, Yacutinga Lodge is located along the river from the falls and offers the chance to stay out in the wilds, right in the heart of the forest. For this reason the lodge itself is fairly simple but, with the range of activities that it can offer, it is a great choice for those really wanting to immerse themselves and always receives good reviews.

The driving force behind a stay in Yacutinga Lodge is the desire to be out amongst the nature and wildlife in this northern area of Argentina. Located on the Upper Iguazu River, much care has been taken with the construction and design of the lodge so that it blends in with and uses the indigenous forest that surrounds it.

The lodge itself states that it is not a luxury retreat, but a chance to feel at one with the natural surroundings of this beautiful and interesting area. With this being said, the lodge prides itself on the highest levels of customer service and overall experience with good food and a whole range of activities.

We like the place and certainly recommend it to those that are after this type of thing. The great thing about staying in a lodge like this is that it allows you to go and visit the falls (that are only around 80kms away) for a day, but then get totally immersed in the wilderness of the region for the rest of the time and so not get sucked into the busy falls region.

Wonderful immersion in nature, good facilities, great service

A fair distance from the falls
