Review

Four Seasons Hotel Bogota raised the bar for luxury accommodation when it opened in 1993 and has maintained these high standards in the face of ever-growing competition. Arguably its greatest rival, The Sofitel, is right next door. This is no coincidence, being situated in the heart Zona T – Bogota’s finest dining and shopping district. Whilst it is hard to fault the Four Seasons Bogota Hotel, it doesn’t really embrace the Colombia culture (unlike its sister property, Casa Medina) and as such, lacks a unique personality.

Location

As mentioned above, the Four Seasons Bogota Hotel is ideally located in the Zona T (also known as Zona Rosa) district; meaning you have the best restaurants, shops and nightlife immediately at your disposal. Furthermore, this is probably the safest area of Bogota. In a taxi, the hotel is around 40mins east of the airport and a similar distance north of the historic La Candelaria district.

Layout

The Four Seasons Bogota Hotel is composed of three towers; two originals and the recent third addition (which doubled the room capacity from 32 to 64). The expansion has been thoughtfully laid out, with no more than 7 rooms on any one floor. The ground floor of the main building houses the lobby and two eateries – Nemo and Biblioteca.

Rooms

The 64 rooms are split into a somewhat over-complicated system of seven categories: Superior, Deluxe, Grand Premier, Executive Suite, One-bedroom Suite, Premier Suite and finally the truly opulent cherry on top – the stunning Penthouse with a private terrace. All rooms come equipped with a Nespresso machine, minibar, hairdryer, iron and flatscreen TV.

Features

The Four Seasons Bogota Hotel proudly boast the Nemo Restaurant by Harry Sasson – one of Colombia’s best known and highly decorated chefs. The adjoining Biblioteca café is a bright and airy spot to grab a delicious breakfast (7-11am). The hotel also has a spa and massage centre (08:00-19:00) and a 24-hour gym.
