Terrantai Lodge

Location

Terrantai Lodge lies in the heart of San Pedro de Atacama, just one block from the main square, in the shadow of the picturesque church that dates back to 1744. Yet the high stone walls around the lodge keep the ambient hustle at bay and maintains the peaceful environment of the property. As there is no on-site restaurant, this central location is ideal – providing easy access to the plenitude of eateries in San Pedro. Calama airport is approx. 100km away and takes around 90 minutes to drive/transfer in.

Layout

In keeping with the indigenous theme, Terrantai Lodge is a single-storey property that is approximately square, set around a central sun terrace and pool. This provides all rooms with easy access to the pool, reception and dining area, where breakfast is taken. Parking is also available, although this is located a couple of minutes from the lodge.

Rooms

Terrantai Lodge has a total of 21 rooms, divided into Standard and Superior categories and available as double, twin or triple formation. All the rooms are tastefully decorated with local art and have the amenities you would expect i.e. W-Fi, safe-box, hairdryer, ceiling fan, heating, room service etc. We recommend the Superior rooms, simply for the extra space.

Features

Part of the parcel of going for a chic-rustic feel is, of course, a slight lack of features. That is all part of the charm and appeal of Terrantai Lodge; and to be fair the pool & terrace is a terrific spot to relax in the tranquil warmth of the Atacama desert. The breakfast is excellent and there are water stations where you can fill up your water bottles. There is also a small library, which is an ideal nook to escape to with a book and cup of local tea!
