Review

This property will appeal to clients in search of something a little bit special in the myriad of boutique properties which have sprung up in town in quick succession recently. Hub Porteno can be summed up as an Art Deco chic hotel where you’re not just staying, but have the chance to interact with other guests and share experiences…the property does market itself with the tag line “transformational experiences” after all! So why not make use of the Experiences concierge who’ll put together something special for you?

Location

A few blocks from the exclusive Alvear Street and Recoletta district of the city, where the likes of the Hyatt and Four Seasons hotels are found, Hub Porteno is within close proximity to one of most desirable addresses in town!

Rooms

The Art-deco bohemian feel of the common areas carries through to the rooms, some of which face the lovely back garden and are simply gorgeously decorated. You do get the impression that every piece of furniture and every detail has been arranged with a lot of thought and consideration. The Grand Suite offers its own-decked private terrace, a living room and private dining area – ideal for a honeymoon stay or for those looking for a bit more privacy.

Layout

The entrance to this property is striking and exquisite, the library and sitting room areas are accommodating even though they are not big in square footage. We like their roof top terrace as well, where a complimentary tea service is available each afternoon to guests and nice way to interact with fellow guests if you wish to. The space is warm and welcoming with a colourful bohemian theme in the form of big cushions and accommodating sitting benches where you can spend a couple of hours unwinding.

Features

Whilst we do stay clear from the marketing hype that a new hotel in town can generate, as it’s not always justified, we do think that this little property has it all and deserves our thumps up. We also like how they’ve included a few little extras such as all soft drinks in the minibar, daily afternoon tea served in the sun terrace and a provision for free local phone calls for all guests.
